The Scottish Highland Cattle

The Highland cattle are well known for their adaptability, hardiness, and ability to withstand harsh weather conditions. They are ideal for our Ranch due to their calving ease, self-sufficiency, and ability to graze on diverse vegetation.
Highland beef is known for its low-fat content, providing considerable protein. It contains less fat than chicken and has lower cholesterol levels than salmon.
The Ladies

Felisha
#52,190 – D.O.B. 04/12/2012
Divinity meets Promiscuity – Felisha has been our lead cow since day one. She has it all, attitude, charisma, sass, and the envy of all male ungulates on the mountain. She has long red hair, a flirty smile, and a gait that would make Kate Moss jealous.

Sweet Pea
#59,425 – D.O.B. 05/06/2019
Sweet Pea just joined our harem and is our youngest-producing mama cow. She just calved Giselle, our first dun calf. Sweet Pea values her independence, corn, sweet feed, and every once in a while a skinny dip in our lake.

Billi Jean
#58,251 – D.O.B 02/27/2017
Billi Jean calves every 10 months or so and must get pregnant at first wink. Highly productive and predictable. While she’s generally docile, she would love a free shot at our GSP, Gunner.

Meredith
#57,615 – D.O.B. 04/03/2016
Definitely, our “curviest” cow, Meredith has been fighting the war against grass one giant mouthful at a time. A master of preparation, she starts stocking up for the winter in early March. Highly protective of the calves of our fold and a wide cornerstone of our foundation.

Honey
#54,639 – D.O.B. 04/19/2015
Our fiercest mama cow is Honey. She protects her young like Meredith protects her lunch. Honey is a prized defender of our fold.
Heifers on deck

Pearl
Registration Pending – D.O.B. 07/07/2023
Pearl is Felisha’s most recent calf. She was born as black as the night sky, however, reddish highlights are coming in nicely. She will be sticking with our fold for many years to come.

Gisele
Registration Pending – D.O.B. 09/05/2023
Giselle is our newest calf, the result of an affair between Sweet Pea and our late great bull Hercules Dubh AH Ranch (#58,451). We were fortunate to have our two stunning heifer calves show up 7 and 8 months after Hercules’s untimely passing and will carry his superior genetics well into the future.
