We have an incredibly prolific elk population near the ranch. The funny thing about raising cattle in Elk land is they love the same things. We buy probably three times as many salt and mineral blocks as necessary, and can’t do the large round bails of hay because they would be gone overnight once the 300 elk in the local herd descend onto our property. That said, there is probably not a cooler wild animal in the woods, and it is always great to see them.
